In the late seventies, the development of a humidity resistant Cold-Box System contributed decisively to the possibility of using water based coatings without any problems. Cordis
The Cordis process has meanwhile been available to the foundry binder market for more than 10 years. The process is based on an inorganic binder (silicat, phosphat and borat) one of the most environmentally compatible, low odor and smoke binders in existence. Curing of the core in the corebox takes place by means of water removal....

Hot-Box
The Hot-Box process is not one of the newer coremaking methods. To the contrary, it has been familiar to foundry operators for a period meanwhile exceeding 40 years, and every day proves its dependability in the foundry once again....

Shell moulding process
The shell molding process was developed by Johannes Croning (shell molding is also termed the ?Croning? process), who in February 1944 applied for a patent on the method in Hamburg.....
